It's been a while. I hope you had a nice break and the prospect of the next
few weeks isn't too daunting. Please forward the following relevant
information to your membership......

Due to concern over the AUT strikes, the next Student General Meeting will
now take place on Thursday, 4th May 2006 @ 6.00 p.m. in Faraday "A".
Deadline for motions for this meeting will be Thursday, 27th April 2006 @
5.00 p.m.

The next Union Council Meeting will take place on Thursday, 11th May 2006 @
6.00 p.m. in Faraday "A". Deadline for motions will be Thursday, 4th May
2006 @ 5.00 p.m.

Executive Elections will soon be upon us. Some dates for your diaries if you
are interested :-
	Nominations Open Tuesday, 2nd May 2006 @ 12 noon
	Nominations Close Tuesday, 9th May 2006 @ 5.00 p.m.
	Manifesto Deadline Wednesday, 10th May 2006 @ 5.00 p.m.
	Election Tuesday, 16th May 2006 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in Fulton House
Foyer.

Society Awards - A provisional date for the Annual Society Awards has been
set for Saturday the 13th of May. A location has yet to be confirmed. A
provisional ticket price of £10 has been set, and for that you get a buffet
and possibly a couple of bottles of wine for your table. We should have
confirmation of everything provisional by the end of the week. If you would
like to your society to perform at this event please contact myself
(treasurer at swansea-union.co.uk) or the ENTS boys (Ben:
benlucas at swansea-union.co.uk or Russ: russellwade at swansea-union.co.uk) . The
award categories are;
	Most consistent
	Best variety of event
	Most innovative
	Best publicity
	Best new society

	Outstanding achievement
	Individual contribution
The winners will be decided by myself, the other sabbaticals, John Follett,
Finance Office personnel and members of the ENTS team.

Please try and book your Freshers Fayre table BY THE END OF TERM to make it
easy on yourselves. Do so by contacting the ENTS boys at their e-mail
addresses above.

Hopefully by now you should be sorting out a date for your AGM in order to
sort out next years committee. I want ALL registration/handover form in by
the end of term please.

52% are hosting a 'TRY A TRADE' day which involves qualified plumbers,
plasters, builders and carpenters teaching women trades traditionally seen
as 'men's work.' It will be great fun and will take place between Fulton
House and the Technium on May 4th. So if you want to get your hands
