Denise Acton is hosting a Fairtrade Tea Dance at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea
to raise a bean for farmers in the developing world who don't get the breaks
they deserve. Denise will be boiling the kettle from 3pm on the 29th
February. Buy your tickets for £5 in advance or £6 on the door and
includes a cream tea and entertainment. Or just £4 for students.

A packet of 80 teabags costs about £1.70, yet, an Indian farmer only earns

ActionAid's 24 hour Tea and Coffee break encourages people to take time out
to enjoy a Fairtrade cuppa at work, home or wherever the nearest kettle is.
Money raised is then used by ActionAid to help transform the lives of
farmers in the developing world.

Voluntary event organiser Denise says " We are hoping that throughout the
afternoon, friends, families and colleagues will join us over a cup of tea
and a cream scone. So join in the fun and help us fight for a fairer world.
This is a tea dance with a difference as we have local ethnic dancers and
groups performing with music."

ActionAid Marketing and events officer, Andy John said:

"We wish our coffee and tea drinkers the best of luck. Our aim is not only
to fundraise but to emphasise how global trade rules are actually increasing
poverty, harming livelihoods and undermining the right of poor communities."
