Sorry to send yet another email, this is a one-off posting.  I wrote an email explaining the AU online membership, but failed to get it to send properly, meaning it never got onto the mailing list...(my mistake)!  So, I was asked by Ali (this years captain) to send another message to everyone on the list last year explaining the new changes.

ATHLETICS UNION ONLINE REGISTRATION

We hope you'll joining back up to the club, we'll have the usual stand on Fulton House Lawns Wednesday and Thursday this week (look for the red dragon wielding a bow!), but just another reminder that this year in order to get your AU cards you need to register online first!  You can't just pick up a card at the AU desk like in previous years, you must first go to http://www.suau.co.uk and enter all your details. 

This is a requirement for all sports clubs (a full list of which is available on the AU website above), not just archery. Once you have signed up to the Athletics Union (AU) you will be able to shoot using the club equipment and more importantly are covered by the insurance.
  Steps:
  1. If you haven't already, please register to www.suau.co.uk
  2. Click on Memberships
  3. Fill in the form for Athletic Union Membership 2007/08
  4. Upload a photo
  5. Pay your Sports Participation Fee
  6. Complete and print confirmation
  7. Bring confirmation printout and a passport photo to the Athletic Union stall at fresher's fayre to receive your card!

CLUB EQUIPMENT

Could we please have back any borrowed or mistakenly taken equipment such as tabs and bracers etc so we can organise all of the clubs equipment for the coming year.  The start of the year brings with it plenty of novices who have never shot before, so we'll need all the equipment we can get!

FIRST NOVICE SESSION is on Mon 1st Oct in the old Pavillion

Hopefully we shall see many of you at the Freshers Fayre on either Wednesday or Thursday.  If you can't make it to Freshers Fayre don't worry, you can still sign up at any Monday session.  You will need an AU card to join the club (see above), if you can't collect this from the AU stall at freshers fayre, call into the AU office, just around the corner from Level 2 in the SU building.

This mail was sent using a temporary list to contact all the people subscribed to last years mailing list.  To the four keen people already resubscribed to the list, you don't need to do anything, you will still be subscribed after this temporary mailing has been sent.
