[Hiking] A-Z of Wind Street, Bannau Sir Gaer, Shropshire Sign Up & Rhossili Down Night Hike And the AGM

Hey guys, lots to tell you about this week!

Firstly, the A to Z of wind street is tomorrow (Tuesday 7th). We will  
meet at 7.30 in Walkabout at the Castle square end of wind street,  
and make our way from pub to pub, drinking our way through the  
alphabet as we go! So, you could start with Archers, Aftershock, or  
Ale, followed by Baileys, Budweiser (or just Beer if you're feeling  
unadventurous) and then perhaps Carling, Caffreys, or Cointreau. Get  
the idea? Well turn up on Tuesday and show us what you're made of!

This Sunday (27th) we will be heading off to Bannau Sir Gaer. The  
cliffs here are the steepest and highest in the stunning Brecon  
Beacons range.This is a B grade walk, and will cost you £3.50. Come  
along to experience this beautiful landscape once again!!

Next weekend is the first weekend away of the term, to Shropshire,  
with the delights of the Long Mynd and more in store! This is a B  
graded weekend, and will cost £30. We're staying in a youth hostel,  
so you won't need sleeping bags, and we can promise proper beds!!!  
Full details will be given at the sign up, which will be next  
Wednesday(15th) in JC's at 6.00pm. Come along to book your place and  
find out what to bring, and what we're going to get up to! To secure  
a place you will have to pay on the night, so bring some cash too!!!

Also next week is the Rhossili Downs night hike on Wednesday Feb  
15th. Starting from Rhossili we'll head upto the highest point on  
Gower, and then return to the pub/minibus along the beach. We'll be  
leaving at 6.30pm, straight after the Shropshire sign up in JC's, so  
meet there, or at the minibus bays behind union house. This is an A  
grade walk, costing only £2.00, if you fancy coming signup this week!

Finally at the end of the month (28th February) is our AGM. This is  
when the present committee stand down <sob!> and we welcome a new  
bunch of enthusiastic and committed people to lead the club for the  
next year!!! Think you might want to get involved? Well have a chat  
to a member of the current committee and get your nomination in. If  
you're going to be around till next February then you can stand, its  
as simple as that. Who knows, soon YOU could be writing these  
emails!!! If you don't think thats your cup of tea, then come along  
anyway and support those who do. The committee is responsible for  
running the club for the next year, so make sure you have your say in  
what goes on.
