Hi everyone,

Here are some more details about our Easter Trip.

We will be walking along part of the Jurassic Coast of Dorset and Devon (made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001, the first in Great Britain). This is a truly stunning bit of coastline offering a good blend of tourist attractions and walking (Check http://www.jurassiccoast.com/\ for more info).

We will be leaving around midday on Sunday 25th March and be returning on Thursday 29th. On the Sunday evening we are hopefully going to be put up and fed by Rosie's parents (Thank You!). This will mean 3 days of walking and 3 nights camping. This will take us between Lyme Regis and Sidmouth. The trip will cost £40 to cover transport and camp sites (a bargain if you ask me...).

We will drive down in cars (those wishing to make alternative arrangements to meet us there must contact the committee in advance). We will be carrying all our kit and usual kit rules apply (except boots become even more important when carrying a load) - a more comprehensive kit list will be circulated nearer the time. If anyone has tents or cookers they are more than welcome to bring them, but please make the committee aware of this when you sign up. Having said this, if you don't have either of these it isn't a problem!

Sign up will be possible from this Wednesday's sign up. Sign up as early as possible would be appreciated so that we can arrange transport and check campsites.

Hope as many of you as possible can come!

Alex

P.s. The club is running out its first hoodies in the near future! These willl not change from year to year and will hopefully be on sale permanently. They will be green with the University logo embroidered on the front and have Swansea University Hiking printed on the back. Members are welcome to personalise their hoodies after they have bought them. They only will cost £20 (the AU charge £25 for their's...). The quicker people order these at sign ups the quicker we can order them!
