Lots of stuff going on at the moment....
Firstly an apology to anyone who wanted to go for a walk last Sunday, we canceled the hike due to lack of numbers but Sam didn't manage to get hold of some people to tell them. Anyone who paid for this hike can come and get a full refund.
Tommorrow (Tuesday) we're going bowling :) If you'd like to join us meet at 7.30 pm in Yates at the top of Windstreet, we'll have a few drinks then walk over to the bowling alleys. It would be good to see lots of you!
The walk this Saturday is going to the Preseli hills in Pembrokeshire, on a clear day you can see the whole county from the ridge, there's also a very groovy pub at the end of this one. These ancient hills are the source of the rocks used to build stonehenge, and some other ancient stone circles are also visible from the path.
We already have a number of people on the list already but to ensure the walk does go ahead please come and add you name to the walk list at our signups held 12.30 - 1.30pm in JCs every Wednesday and Friday.
We are now selling tickets for our Christmas Dinner! This takes place on Tuesday 14th of December at the Oxwich bay hotel and costs £28, this is the highlight of our social calender. The ticket includes a 3 course meal, a bottle of wine per two persons, transport to and from the hotel (located adjacent to Oxwich beach on the Gower) and a live band for some cheesy dancing afterwards! Dress code is smart.
As this is a social it is also open to friends and guests. We are being joined for the Christmas dinner by the climbing club and SSWIGS society, if you are a member of more than one of these clubs then you should buy your ticket from the club you would like to sit with for the meal.
