[SUCS] SUCS Beach Party 2009

Hi there most excellent SUCS members, past and present.

Summer is nearly here, exams are round the corner (Good Luck to Students) 
and the highlight of the social calendar is fast approaching!

I am of course talking of the fabled SUCS Beach Party.

This is a gathering where lots of SUCS members, past and present crawl out 
from their recesses and congregate down at Swansea Bay for an annual 
cobweb blowout in harmony and pyromania, including BBQs, a bonfire and 
enough sand to build a Taj Mahal, or at least large sand castles - Bring 
Spades & Buckets.

So if sand, sea and celebration are your idea of fun then come down and 
join us. We will be on the beach at around 7pm on Saturday June 6th and we 
will likely be there until the early hours of the following morning, last 
year we were there till 8am after a short kip on the beach.

Bring however much food and drink you are likely to want/need, the nearest 
shops to the beach are over by King Edwards Avenue and they close at 
10-10.30 so make sure you have everything in advance.

Please bring wood and by wood we mean pallets, dead branches, cable reels, 
laminate flooring, whatever you can find.  This will form the basis of our 
bonfire.  We store wood in our room over the last week of exams so anyone 
who finds some around campus and needs somewhere to store it bring it down 
to the room.
