Hello Everyone,

We will be having our next outdoor day trip this Sunday (5th December). We will be going to a crag on the Gower called Three Cliffs Bay. This is one of the most picturesque bays on the whole of the Gower and one of the classic crags for single pitch trad. climbing in South Wales. The trip is aimed at everybody in the club, whether you're experienced
at trad. climbing or not.

The trip will cost £5 and due to the hours of sunlight and the tidal
nature of the crag, we will be meeting outside Fulton House at 07:45 and
will be leaving promptly at 08:00. We aim to return to campus around
17:00.

You will need to bring the following:

- Plenty of warm clothes (including hats, gloves, scarfs etc)
- Waterproof coat
- Sensible climbing clothes (i.e. NOT jeans)
- Any climbing equipment you may own
- Backpack for all your kit and suitable shoes for walking up and down hills and across grass and sand.
- Food and drink (we will not be stopping on the way for food/drink so please ensure you bring plenty to keep you going all day - flask of tea is a good idea to warm you up at lunch!)

The sign up for this event is now open but places are limited so get ready to get your name down as quickly as possible! If it's anything like all our other trips it will fill up very quickly! Please indicate any kit you require on the sign up sheet as usual.

Cheers,

Dave

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that if you reserve a place on the trip and are not at
Fulton House by 0800 then we will begin to allocate places to the people
on the reserves list. If you reserve a place on the trip and then are
unable to make it, please cancel your name from the sign up sheet or
send us an email so we know you are not attending. We put a lot of work
into organising transport, drivers, equipment, instructors etc so we'd
be quite disappointed if people say that they are coming and then do not
turn up. On this particular trip, priority may go to those people who haven't been able to get on
any outdoor trips yet.

SUMC Committee

--
Web: http://www.sumc.org.uk
Forum: http://www.sumc.org.uk/cragchat
