 To make it generally nicer for the newbies, and because the bbs part
 rarely gets used any more, we should have autochat on by default so that
 the users go straight through to talker.

 To further simply things, if run from the cmdline (not bbs mode) then
 assume that the username is their system username, provide a cmdline opt
 to override this behavior.
