Dear UWS Photography members,

its getting towards the end of the year, and so the end of a year of the Society. its been a good year, with a huge number of members, vast amounts of club equipment gained, and lots of good photo ops.

Now that the year is finishing, its time to elect a new Committee. there's lots available now within the club to make for a truly fantastic coming year, and helping in the running of it would be a good opportunity. A lot of the dull paperwork has already been done, leaving a new committee able to concentrate on the more fun side of the society. there's also a fair enough amount left in the kitty so that the new committee won't be left high an dry.

some positions are a must, but we've suggested a few extras that might help in the running of the club:

1.President
2.Treasurer
3.Secretary

all of these the SU say we must have. these could be good too:

4.IT - really usefull in keeping the website running, along with other things digital.

5.Events Organiser - thinking of and planning for both photographic and social events.

6.Darkroom technician - some one that knows how to use a darkroom, and is confident in showing others. this person should also be responsible for the maintanence of the darkroom and refilling cemicals etc.

if you'd like to put yourself forward for any of these positions, please email me (owen - 363329 at swan.ac.uk or my hotmail one, owen_franks at hotmail.com). if there is more than one candidate for any position then a vote will be needed, which will be open to all members.

Once a committee is decided the old committee will run through with you some useful things to know, and possibly even a darkroom session to get people used to it, as well as offering a hand with the Fresher's faire.

Hope to get lots of responses, and that all exams are going ok.
Your,
Owen
