The Previous email was cut short for some unknown technical reason, I hope this works.<BR> <BR>Hope the weather is not getting you down.<BR> <BR>Thanks to all those who attended yesterday's meeting and help choose our 20 charities and voted in the new committee members; the list will be out shortly.<BR> <BR>We have a few Raids lined up for this term. <BR> <BR>For those of you who don't know what raids are, here's a definition. <STRONG>Raid</STRONG> is the act of shaking buckets (or similar shaped objects) for money in Public places. It is always a laugh and can be done in Fancy Dress. A <STRONG><SPAN class=squiggly title="To see spelling suggestions, click this word"><STRONG>MegaRaid</STRONG></SPAN></STRONG> is when various RAG's come together to do Raids for the same Cause.<BR> <BR>Below is a list of Raids coming up:<BR> <BR><STRONG>22nd - 24th October 2009 - London Mega Raid - Cancer research.</STRONG><BR>We will be heading to London on thursday evening to get ready for an early start on Friday morning. We will shake our Buckets on all day friday (don't worry there will be regular breaks and Lunch). We will then meet up again in the evening to celebrate our success and return on Saturday.<BR> <BR><STRONG>27th-29th November 2009 - Newcastle Mega Raid - <SPAN class=squiggly title="To see spelling suggestions, click this word">Barnado's</SPAN></STRONG><BR>This has a very similar itinerary to the London Mega Raid, only Bigger. This is the largest Annual RAG <SPAN class=squiggly title="To see spelling suggestions, click this word">Megaraid</SPAN> with over 100 students attending, so if you want to see Newcastle littered with <SPAN class=squiggly title="To see spelling suggestions, click this word">RAGgies</SPAN>, then this is definitely a Raid for you.<BR> <BR><STRONG>28th November - Swansea Raid - Anthony Nolan Trust.</STRONG><BR>This is a raid at our doorstep, which means you have no excuse for not showing up. Its going to be a Fancy Dress, so feel free to have a good dig into your fancy dress bag and find something exciting. <BR> <BR><STRONG><SPAN><STRONG>4th-6th</STRONG></SPAN> December - Dublin - Meningitis Research.</STRONG><BR>This is our most popular Raid, its a Lovely trip to Dublin, which is thoroughly fun filled (ask those who went last year or check the <SPAN class=squiggly title="To see spelling suggestions, click this word">facebook</SPAN> page for proof). We will travel down of the friday, Shake Buckets on saturday.
