Dear All,

 

Please share the relevant information with your committees and wider
membership.

 

*	I will be on holiday from next Friday (8/12/06) until the very
beginning of next term (Wednesday, 17/01/06). I'm sorry for any
inconvenience caused. The ENTS Department, Finance Office and John Follett
will be able to help you as best as they can in my absence. Please DO NOT
refer to the other Sabbatical Officers with regards to society business as
this has caused a lot of trouble recently and in the past. 

 

*	I hope you all enjoyed 'Go Green Week' coordinated by the
Conservation and People and Planet societies. If you would like to
contribute to the Go Green petition then please visit
http://www.swansea-union.co.uk/surveys/going_green.htm 

 

*	The Environment and Ethics survey is online at the SU website. Just
click on the 'Democracy' button and then choose 'Research and
Representation' on the drop-down menu and a link to the survey should be at
the bottom of the opening page. The survey queries people on their mode of
transport, ethical shopping, healthy eating and opinions on the university's
investments in the arms trade The link is:

*	Don't forget that all society publicity must be in both English and
Welsh according to SU policy, otherwise K:2 won't produce your publicity. If
mono-lingual society publicity is found it will be removed by SUSU staff.
And please remember that publicity is NOT to be placed on either fire-doors
or windows. Fines can and will be imposed for breach of these publicity
regulations. 

 

*	The Christmas International Students Fiesta will take place on the
12th of December in Club DV8. All are welcome! Doors open at 8pm and tickets
are available from the ENTS Box Office.
