[All-societies] SOCIETY AWARDS ARE COMING!!!

Dear All,
Please can those societies who wish to contribute to the Societies Awards
Night get in touch with me ASAP!!!
Society Awards - Hopefully you should all have received an e-mail about
this. If not, then the gist of it is: When? - 13.05.06., 7pm until 1am.
Where? - Liberty Stadium. Tickets? - £10 from ENTS box office. Available
from May 2nd. Dress? - Black tie. Entertainment? - Acoustic set during
buffet, societies' performances, DJ until late. Prizes? - Grant money, wine
and certificates. Travel? - Buses provided to and from Fulton House,
including Student Village drop-offs (not pick-ups).

Due to concern over the AUT strikes, the next Student General Meeting will
now take place on Thursday, 4th May 2006 @ 6.00 p.m. in Faraday "A".
Deadline for motions for this meeting will be Thursday, 27th April 2006 @
5.00 p.m.

The next Union Council Meeting will take place on Thursday, 11th May 2006 @
6.00 p.m. in Faraday "A". Deadline for motions will be Thursday, 4th May
2006 @ 5.00 p.m.

Executive Elections will soon be upon us. Some dates for your diaries if you
are interested :-
	Nominations Open Tuesday, 2nd May 2006 @ 12 noon
	Nominations Close Tuesday, 9th May 2006 @ 5.00 p.m.
	Manifesto Deadline Wednesday, 10th May 2006 @ 5.00 p.m.
	Election Tuesday, 16th May 2006 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in Fulton House
Foyer.

Please try and book your Freshers Fayre table BY THE END OF TERM to make it
easy on yourselves. Do so by contacting the ENTS boys on either
benlucas at swansea-union.co.uk or russellwade at swansea-union.co.uk.

Hopefully by now you should be sorting out a date for your AGM in order to
sort out next years committee. I want ALL registration/handover forms in by
the end of term please.

52% are hosting a 'TRY A TRADE' day which involves qualified plumbers,
plasters, builders and carpenters teaching women trades traditionally seen
as 'men's work.' It will be great fun and will take place between Fulton
House and the Technium on May 4th. So if you want to get your hands

Global Health Road Show - 9th May, 6pm
	The Global Health Road show will be coming to Swansea. Dr Mike Rowson,
former executive of Medact and honorary lecturer at 	UCL, will be delivering
a talk and discussion on the current state of international health, and what
students can do to address 	the gross inequalities in health. The discussion
will include the interaction between politics and health and the millennium
development goals.
	The talk will begin at 6.00pm in the grove lecture theatre, in the Grove
building. All welcome.
