Hello hikers,

I hope you enjoyed the Pen-y-fan walk if you went and are looking forward
to more walks!

This Sunday’s walk takes us to Offa’s Dyke which is a grade B2 and will
cost £4. This is a must for all English members of the club so that they
can look out over England again! Spectacular views (of both countries) are
along the length of this walk. We also visit a historic ruined priory...
So come along to the regular sign-ups to sign-up, Wednesday and Friday
12:30-1:30pm in JCs quiet side.

The following weekend is the Peak District weekend away, Friday 27th till
Sunday 29th October. This will cost £30 to cover transport and
accommodation. There are limited spaces as we travel on a minibus so
places are on a first come basis. Sign-up is Wednesday (tomorrow) in JCs
at 6pm just before the social event. I will send another email soon with
the full itinay of this trip as I don’t yet have it. Do come, it will be
fun!

Tomorrows social is an around the world pub crawl on Wind Street. We meet
in JCs at 6pm for the peaks sign-up and we can get a few drinks in. Then
at 7:30pm we head to Wind Street for the pub crawl. Each pub represents a
country and we have a drink from that country. Then we head to Play for AU
sports night, the hiking club sells tickets for Play so buy from us at the
social. Do come, not only will you have fun but you will help out the AU
by going which will benefit the club. AND REMEMBER TO BRING ID SUCH AS A
DRIVING LICENCE OR PASSPORT AS SOME PLACES WON’T LET YOU IN WITHOUT IT.
Some places won’t accept student card either so BRING ID. I hope to see
you all at this social!

And one final note. On the walks can people please keep between the walk
leader and the backmarker. This is for everyone’s safety and this can be
found in the club’s rules which you will have received when you joined the
club. These two positions should also announce who they are before
starting the walk so we all know who they are. It’s for the safety of the
group. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I hope to see you all at the social tomorrow!
Have a good day.

Andrew
