Hello and welcome to a shiny 2007,

This is your new exec with a some things about the next few weeks:

Weekly socials are still being held on Fridays at 1pm in the "quiet side"
of JC's (i.e. Just Coffee) - the first one being this Friday so if you
have not been to one yet don't be shy, we won't bite :P

Next Wednesday afternoon, Jan 7th, we'll be upgrading the PCs in the SUCS
room to Fedora Core (Linux) 6 and we're going to make an event of it. Come
along and we'll show you how to install FC6 on one of the desktops and
teach you about how the SUCS network works in the process.

Also, if you have a PC or laptop that you'd like some help to install
Linux (Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, etc.) on, bring it along and we'll give you
a hand.

We are looking to get the games server more active this year, so if you
have any sensible suggestions for games you would like to see on there,
pop onto the SUCS forum and post them in this thread:

Still with the gaming, we are hoping to have a regular game at 8pm on
Sunday evenings so that there is at least one night a week people are
guaranteed to be online playing. Just come onto Milliways and see what
