Hi,
just some details of our first two outdoor trips that are coming up soon:

*Gower Beginners Day - 24/10/2010*
**-Our first day trip to Fall Bay on the Gower
-Aimed at beginners, so no experience is necessary to come
-Meeting time is 09.00 outside Fulton House
-Cost is £5
-Things to bring include food/drink, warm clothes, waterproofs, any climbing
gear you have, suitable trousers (ie: NOT jeans!), shoes to walk approx 2km
in.
-There'll be top ropes at a couple of crags, and an abseil down a cave.
Will be a good fun day!
-transport depending, we may stop at a pub for a meal on the way home.

*Peak District Weekend Away - 29/10/2010 to 31/10/2010*
**Our first weekend away of the year to Northern England. If you've not
been before, its one of the best climbing locations in the country, due to
the quality of the climbing, the lovely scenery and the ease of access. No
experience is necessary to come on the weekend, we just ask that you are
happy to put a harness on and tie in to the rope. We're staying in a scout
hut, so accommodation will be basic, but this keeps costs down and adds to
the fun! The cost is £30, which will cover you travel and accommodation.
Meeting time is at 1700 outside Fulton House (if this is an issue, let us
know)
A more detailed email will be sent later, but a basic list of items
you'll need are:
-any climbing gear you have
-sleeping bag
-sleeping mat
-warm clothing/waterproofs/appropriate trousers - again NO jeans!
-If you've trouble getting any of these items, let us know, as people may be
able to lend you spares.

It should be a really good weekend away, and I'd encourage as many people as
possible to put their names down.

*For both of these trips, we require you to sign up on the website*. This
can be done here <http://www.sumc.org.uk/events>. Please put what equipment
you need. If you are unsure what equipment you need, please add a note in
the 'other requirements' box, rather than ticking everything...

If you've any questions about either trip, please feel free to ask

Kind Regards
Tom Webber
