Hi all!

Sorry you haven't heard much from us over Christmas, but I hope you all had
a great one, and exams weren't too bad.

As you should all know this year we've faced some pretty nasty technical
problems, and most of us as a committee have had to focus all our available
time on that.

I just want to reassure you that as a committee we have done a lot last
term in regards to getting the station back, by investing in new equipment,
working with the union to get brand new software and PC (will be up in the
next couple of weeks! No more Myriad crashes (hopefully)).

*There's a lot more to do however*, we still have areas that need a lot of
work. We want this term to be able to focus on the shows that you are all
doing, and on keeping those shows at the highest quality that they can be!
We also want to focus on getting the word out about Xtreme, with live
events, a new website and increased social media presence.

Unfortunately we can't do that all on our own. A lot of this depends on you
helping us.
How you can help:

   - Always turn up, on time and prepared to do your show.
   - TELL EVERYONE TO LISTEN TO YOUR SHOWS. I know Facebook statuses aren't
done by you cool kids anymore but they really do work to help you get the
   message out there.
   - Join our promo team!!!! - we need posters and people to help with
events, if you're interested message our head of promo Tammy Schuh or email
   her at promo at xtremeradio.org
   - If you want to help out at engineering get in touch at
engineering at xtrememradio.org or message Will Windridge or Rhys Jones

Finally, I know a lot of you have emailed me about scheduling this year and
I will reply to you all today, I also need to know people's scheduling
requirements this term *ONLY IF YOU CANT DO THE SLOT YOU HAD PREVIOUSLY.*

We hope to be reopening the studio next Monday the 9th of February, but
will confirm that to you all tomorrow after we have a committee meeting.

Thanks everyone, Fred.

P.S: Make sure you've all liked our Facebook page
