Hello Hikers,

For those of you that don't know we had our AGM last night and a new
commitee was elected. There will be an email coming shortly from the new
chairman Martin introducing the new commitee and himself!

SIGN UP FOR THE FOLLOWING IN JC'S ON FRIDAY THIS WEEK 12:30 - 1:30;

NEXT WALK;

Three Cliffs Bay and Pub (Late) Lunch Sunday 24th February

Grade: A1; Cost: £4

The Three Cliffs Bay walk heralds the entry into the fray of the new
committee. This walk is always good fun and close to home on the Gower.

We start at Kittle and walk down the beautiful wooded Bishopston valley to
the coast at Pwll Du (a large cobbled beach). We then follow the coast
along to Three Cliffs Bay and up to the pub in Parkmill. A fabulous walk
with stunning views. We should arrive at the pub around 3ish and then we
will be spending longer in the pub to order a late lunch or a delicious
pudding to round off your day.

We suggest bringing some food for the walk and money for the pub at the
end. See you there.

NEXT SOCIAL;

Rhossili Down Night Hike

Tuesday 26th February

Meet: JC'S 6pm (provisional)

Another chance to have a late evening wander, this time surveying the
lights of Camarthen bay before walking back along the beach.

WEEKEND AWAY;

Plas Isa self catering accomodation, Rhinogs (Southern Snowdonia, North
Wales)

Friday 29th February - Sunday 2nd March

Cost: £35

This is always a brilliant trip and whats more we are staying in a new
place this year, in the lovely town of Dolgellau. Plas Isa is situated in
Dolgellau town centre surrounded by a good choice of pubs, restaurants,
cafes, take-aways and a Spar shop (open til 11pm) (all within 3 mins
walk).

Here is what the owners say about the place:

" Plas Isa is a town house, dating from the 16th century, which has been
carefully renovated to retain all its old charm whilst providing spacious,
comfortable and user friendly accommodation. The house has a large sitting
room / TV room with four wonderfully comfortable sofas; a fully equipped
kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, fridge- freezer and seating for 16.
There are ample separate showers, and a games room with a full sized pool
table.  "

Cader Idris towers magnificently above the town offering walkers and
climbers many opportunities for hiking and there are some fantastic walks
just nearby along the stunningly picturesque Mawddach Estuary.

One not to be missed!!!

C you all soon

Jack.
