On-Sight: Film Showcase
This aim of this event is to raise money for the South Wales Bolt Fund.

*Saturday the 15th November 2008
Advance ticket sales are £5, and £7 on the night*
All ticket sales will go straight to the fund for re-equipping of old bolts,
and new routes that adhere to the bolt policy.

Tickets should be on sale Monday from Dynamic Rock,
*On Sight Film Showcase

*This is the latest efforts from British film maker Alistair Lee. On Sight
is a gripping adventure into the world of cutting edge rock and ice climbing
documenting what is possible with a ground up, no pre-practice approach
resulting in raw, compelling and often frightening footage. The climbers in
this film aren't necessarily the strongest but they have the biggest
kahooners(!); willing to take a 30 foot fall for the ultimate on sight
ascent.

Other films from this creative team include, Pysche, three separate doses of
Sport, Trad, and Alpine climbing at the top end of the game. A Patagonian
Winter winner of a Kendal film festival award. Another of Posing Production
films documents the Lake District climber, Dave Birkett, with an emphasis of
bold hard trad lines put up by Dave.

With these films already considered modern climbing classics, You have the
opportunity to see this latest efforts of Posing Productions, on the big
screen. On Sight features

Advance ticket sales are £5, entry on the night will be £7. Limited tickets
are available, so make sure you buy your ticket in advance to avoid
disappointment. The showing will be the 15th November 2008, starting at 8pm.


*BMC Leading Ladder*
Also on the same day at the film venue, Dynamic Rock Swansea Climbing Centre
is the British Mountaineering Councils (BMC) Leading Ladder competition.
This is a national leading competition with routes starting at Fr5+ reaching
up to Fr8a. Why not compete during the day and stay for the evening showing
of On-Sight. See www.thebmc.co.uk for more details. Entry cost £1 more than
your normal entrance fee to the centre.
