[SUMC] Boulders Bouldering Competition

Hi all

Tomorrow is our trip to Boulders in Cardiff for the South Wales
Universities bouldering competition. For those who haven't been there,
Boulders is a HUGE warehouse full of boulder problems and routes and
tomorrow it'll be set into competition mode for us.This will be followed by
the Boulders Christmas Party.

There will be 20 qualifying problems, which will be clearly marked.

There will be four categories:

- Fresher (Climbing for less than one-year) – Male & Female
- Elite Experienced climbers – Male & Female

The day will run as follows:

10am – 11am – Registration in reception, which will involved paying the
usual entrance price, pick-up your scorecard and go to the cafe.
11am – Briefing about how the day is going to run and the rules of the
competition.
11am – 1pm – competition window.
1pm – All climbing stops and break for lunch.
2pm – Super Finals begin. The Top 3 in each category will go through, which
will be judged.
3:30pm – Prize giving

So the plan for tomorrow is:

- The trip will cost £6 plus entry to Boulders (this should be £5)
- Meet at 8:30am at Fulton House
- Bring all kit needed for bouldering (plus a harness for those wanting to
do roped routes too)
- If drivers want to stay, attend the Christmas Party
- Come home victorious!
