 It's occasionally nice to refer back to previous mw talker conversations.
 Presently, only people with specific privileges can do this, and rightly
 so since the existing log contains full details of supposedly private
 conversations (whispers).

 What I'd like to see is a second "public" (probably limited to SUCS
 members rather than actually public) log file containing only messages
 sent to the main room.

 This would allow us to tighten the permissions on the full log file so
 only people with root can read it (currently this would break mwURI,
 though if an internal URI logging mechanism were developed I guess we
 could do it anyway) and make there much less incentive to go rooting
 through potentially sensitive data.
