[Pybackpack] Call For Desktop Icon Ideas

Hi folks,

Currently, pybackpack uses gnome's file-roller icon[1] which has changed
since pybackpack was first created and is no longer suitable. This has
been highlighted on the Fedora review request.

Now my artistic skills aren't terrible but I'd prefer to spend my
pybackpack time coding so I'd like to call for anyone interested to put
forward proposals for a new desktop icon. At the least I'd like to read
your ideas on what the icon should look like, since representing file
backup in graphical terms isn't that easy.

What's needed:
- An icon provided in source format (e.g. .svg or .xcf) without
licensing baggage that hinders future/downstream development of it.
- The icon should be kept simple and representative of the function of
pybackpack. The pybackpack logo currently has a python in it but the
icon should forget about that and just concentrate on conveying the
function of file backup to the user.
- It should be suitable for the gnome desktop. See [2] and [3] for
some more info and google is your friend too.

Of course the other option is finding a suitable existing icon that can
be shipped with pybackpack. Again, try to avoid icons with
licensing/copyright issues.

I'm also open to suggestions for a new pybackpack logo. This isn't as
urgent but it's something someone might find fun to work on. Again, try
to avoid snakes and focus on what pybackpack does or be creative and
cook up a nifty new mascot for the project.

To submit your ideas, I'd preferably like the icons uploaded and a link
sent to this list on this thread but feel free to take advantage of the
pybackpack trac's attachment features if you don't have web space. If
all else fails, e-mail them directly to me.
