Just a few notes on what's coming up in the rest of the year:
On Monday the 29th of November, there will be a challenge events day in JC's on the coffee side, between 2-5pm. This is a great chance to sign up for some amazing challenges that take place all over the world, and range from a few days to a few weeks. So come along and check out the stalls, and challenge yourself!
RAG will be helping the LGBT, ACS and MAFIA societies as well next week in their World Aids Week, and we hope to see many of you out at their events, taking place across campus from the 29th of November to the 3rd of December. If you'd like to help with any of these activities, please get in touch.
This year, RAG is launching an old tradition with a new twist, and we need you to help! Elfing is our Christmas version of Gnoming, and is taking place on the 6th of December. Students will hire an 'elf' (RAGgies dressed in costume!) to follow their friends around campus and annoy them until they match the sponsor money set by the friend! It's a lot of fun and raises a lot of money for our charities, as well as being a great way to wind up your mates. We're currently looking for volunteers to be our elves, and don't worry if you haven't got a costume, as we will provide that for you. If you think you can be annoying enough to raise lots of money for charity, email us back at swansearag at hotmail.co.uk and we'll put you on the list!
This Saturday sees our first megaraid of the year - where students from RAGs across the country get together to raise money together in one city. We're going to London on Saturday (the 27th) to raise money for Terrance Higgins Trust as part of World Aids Day. It will be an early start and a late finish, but if you're interested, let us know.
Finally, (phew!) we'll be holding a general meeting on Tuesday the 30th of December, at 6.30pm, in JC's. This will be an informal chance to chat and meet your committee and find out what we've got planned and how you can be involved. Please come along if you are free!
Thanks for getting to the end!
