ELECTIONS
Can all those who are wishing to run for a position, please email there intentions to do so to swansearag at hotmail.co.uk stating which position they're running for and providing a short manifesto. The manifesto should be no more than 300 words, explaining why you want to be considered for the position and what experience you have or you would bring to the committee and the society as a whole. The deadline for submission will be 9pm on Monday 6th June 2011. Those who still want to run after this date may do so provided they inform one of the current committee members prior to the AGM on Tuesday 7th June.

Hello, RAGgies!
We'd like to invite you all to our Annual General Meeting, where we will be sharing the money out amongst our charities and electing our new committee for next year. 
It takes place on Tuesday the 7th of June at 5.30pm in the Xtreme Lounge. (The second room of tooters for those unsure). 
The positions up for grabs are:
President - the head of the committee, the President is responsible for leading the committee and ensuring the aims of the society are met. It is an executive postion. 
Vice President - works with the President to make sure the aims are met, and helps the President in any task he/she asks. 
Secretary - responsible for communicating with the committee and the members, and managing the email account. 
Treasurer - responsible for keeping the accounts in check and making sure money is spent wisely in the society. 
Beer Race Organiser - works through the Summer and the first term to organise our biggest event, the Beer Race. Must be a good communicator and able to work with outside companies. 
Events organiser - works with our committee to come up with events and then run them. Should be creative and enthusiastic. 
Publicity/RAG Mag - works with our SU designer to promote the events and also works on RAG publicity to ensure students know about the society and its' work. 
Social Secretary - organises fun nights for our committee and the members to get to know each other. 
There's also scope for helpers with the Beer Race for anyone wanting to gain some experience before running next year. If anyone is interested in this, please come along to the meeting and have a chat with us. 
Finally, I'd like to promote the SOS Africa team and the Cardiff Half Marathon. It's not to late to join if you're interested in setting yourself a big challenge and raising money for a fantastic charity. If you're interested, contact Matt Crowcombe at info at sosafrica.com.
